It’s quite clear that things will never change
Sometimes life just comes that way
Thought you left me behind
Turns out you were never here at all
Sometimes I wonder why it took me so long?
To figure it all out
Decades of pain
All swept away
I am at peace in absence
Serene in this place
Will you think of it someday?
Will you really believe?
I have lost hope for you
But I’ll always know I did my part.
